Mounting a teleconverter on a minolta cam...

I have a Minolta maxxum 300si and it came with a tamron mc teleconverter 2x for minolta md. Do I need any other hardware or adapters to mount this as it doesn't look like it will fit. Any assistance will be appreciated.

AS you have found out, the Maxxum AF mount and the MD mounts are much different. They do make tele-converters that allow the use of MD (non-AF) lenses on a Maxxum series camera. You would still need another adapter to make the MD Tamron converter work,
