I have a Hunter 44860 thermostat. I've had it since December 2008. Usually it works fine. But the end of Daylight Savings has created an issue. Sunday 11/1, we woke to a cold house. The thermostat thought it was 1:17am, when it was 9am. I reset the time and everything was fine, until this Sunday. I checked the thermostat in the evening (the weather had been warm, so I didn't notice the heat not coming on). Again, the clock claimed it was 1:12am. The minutes were right, but the hour was wrong. Is this an issue with the Daylight savings time reset? Is the thermostat in a loop? I've turned off the Daylight feature in hopes that will work. Any other ideas? Or do you know if there is an issue?
You might check the battery if it has one,it probably needs replaced. If it doesn't have a battery you are probably having power failures and the clock is resetting to 12:00 am. Which will happen any time the thermostat loses power and it is restored.
