I want to add my PSC 1610 as a network printer

i have the same printer- unplug the printer usb cable- un-install the printer- plug the usb back in. when the new device wizard comes up, tell you have cd. insert install cd- browse for your cd device letter- choose that. then re-install printer- full install! will prob. ask you to 'name' your printer!- write down that name! you'll need that, as well as your psc 1610 i.d. then , if your computer is the net-work comp., you need to set it up on control panel to share. then check other computers on network and see if they 'see' the hp psc 1610 and then add them to printer sharing- this is where you'll need the 'name'. i had less problem with w98se, than i did with xp pro or home! love you, microshaft!!
