I have downloaded the sound driver from Compaq website for SR1330il desktop. But while installation it says xp os has been reinstalled so operation not possible

I would assume this is a HP warning. I guess you got rid of HP's Operating system and installed a retail or different OS than the one that came with the PC.
Try one from realtec It seems you have a realtek audio card

If that doesn't work you will have to do a manual install of the drivers..which is easy enough.
