Screen black and no windows sound at startup.My laptop is Asus c90 S with windows vista

- Thx but this solution doesn t work for me.I forgot to say i can see hdd led flashing and caps lock led works too

1 Remove the battery
2 Hold the power key down 30''
3 Put back the battery
4 Try to turn on you computer

can you see anything(by pulling the screen down ?fade light) on your screen??

try to connect it toa monitor. ( if it work ) you might have a back light issue
