What is the file extension of those movies downloaded from your camera? Make sure they are supported by your computer. Try to use Windows Media Player.

Testimonial: "That work around worked... but the real problem was that the HP proprietary software was no longer on this computer. I ended up downlaoding it!"

Do you have alvin and the chipmunks chipwrecked?

You seem to be far too fixated on animated chipmunks, try using a peer to peer downloading service to search and acquire your desired movie: such as bit torrent, and then take your attitude elsewhere.

I have shot several movies on different cards with my Powershot SX200IS. When I plug the camera directly into my computer, I can view the movies. But I cannot get them to download on to my computer. It...

What program are you using to download the pics? Is it the same program you are trying to download the videos to? It probably only handles still photos, not movies. You could use a card reader and download the videos to a folder you create on your desktop and then use a program like Windows Media player or something that came with your camera to watch them. Sending videos to others through e-mail is discouraged. They are extremely large files, take forever to upload, forever to download (especially if your friends have a dial-up connection), and some ISP's won't even permit the upload or download because of the size. To share, burn the videos to DVD and pass them out to friends or upload the videos to an online site that your friends can log onto.

Lost software disc which allow to download movies and photos'

The software disk contains third party programs of which Sanyo gave you license to use. You can download separate programs but you will also need to purchase their license. For the connectivity if you are using windows XP then just plug-in your camera into the USB port and it will automatically install so you can copy your photos and videos. The CD has the following software:

QuickTime 6.5

Ulead Photo Explorer 8.5 SE Basic (Windows)/Photo Explorer for Mac 2.0
(Macintosh)

Motion Director SE 1.1 (Windows)

Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4.0 SE (Windows)

Download movie by Kodak Easyshare

Instead of using the software... Try uninstalling the software and use the Microsoft Scanner and Camera wizard to transfer photos/video to your computer. It should recognize everything on your camera, and then you can copy and paste the photos/videos into whatever folder you specify. In my experience, Kodak's EasyShare software was able to recognize .MOV movies. If your computer is slow, you might want to wait a while for all the processing to be done and check if the videos were recognizeD
