Re: Can't reset date

Switch over to the wrench icon, then switch to the custom tab, highlight date & time, press OK button, and it will allow you to change from there.

I have had my S9600 for 4 years, for most of that time, when i changed the batteries, all my settings remained the same. Now, when i change the batteries, every setting has returned to factory standard...

No internal battery. After the batteries are in the camera for 2 hours, there is enough charge in the camera to hold on to settings for 6 hours. If you take longer than that to install fresh batteries, the settings are lost. Here's what the manual says:

OKOK:At the time of purchase and after leaving the camera for a

long period with the batteries removed, settings such as the

date and time are cleared. Once the AC power adapter has

been connected or the batteries have been installed for 2

hours or more, the camera settings will be retained for

roughly 6 hours even if both sources of power are removed.

I have a kodak easy share M1073 and cannot figure out how to reset the date. I can turn the date stamp on and off but that's the only option I have.

It's important to set the date and time so that pictures and videos are organized by the date taken. The date and time procedure varies slightly between camera models, but generally:
  1. Turn on the camera.
  2. Press the Menu button.
If you see a Setup tab, press the Right arrow button to highlight the Setup tab. If you don't see a Setup tab, press the Down arrow button to select Setup, then press the OK button.
  3. Press the Down arrow button to choose Date and Time (or similar), then press the OK button.
  4. Press the Right/Left arrow buttons to move between year, month, and date. Press (or press and hold) the Up/Down arrow buttons to scroll through the year, month, and date.
Use the same procedure to set the time.
  5. When finished, press the OK button.
NOTE: If your KODAK Camera has a touchscreen, the same principles apply. Tap the Menu icon, Setup, then Date and Time (or similar).

Have to reset date and time every time I turn it on!

If you have to do that each time you shut it off and turn it back on try this. Take your memory card out and format your internal memory. Reset the camera and then re-enter the information. Shut the camera off and turn it back on and hopefully it will still be in there. If not then you have an internal memory error and that needs to be fixed by Casio.

Printing date on photos

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Setting Correct Time and Date

hit the menu button, then hold the right display key and the mode button, pictures will come up with a camera, microphone, etc go to the one that has the tools on it and hit your shutter key. It will bring up date and time, language, Format storage, and tv output. Hit the sutter key on the date and time and it will bring up the place to change the date and time. I couldn't figure it out and my brother in law played around with it and got it set for me.

Date time setting does not program

There is not an option to remember the date/time when you power off the camera. The camera should always remember the time. If it forgets the setting when you power it off then your backup battery has gone dead. Check your manual to see if it is something you can replace yourself. I am not familiar with this camera specifically but some cameras make the backup battery accessible and some require disassembly. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
