Faulty exhaust thermostat or heater and thermostat complete, check for continuity should be normally closed (complete circuit)

My dryer won't work! The light works and the lint

I believe that everything else is fine rather it is the thermal fuse that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if it is bad then it should be replaced, as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then it can be due to the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I had the same problem, cleaned the whole machine until it was back to show room condition but the light was still on. Turns out my heater had packed in, bought a replacement and fitted it and it down the trick (no light and drying clothes)

Candy cic 60 keeps tripping electric

take cover off fan and see if there is signs of water there. a common cause of tripping is that water is thrown up from the fan onto the element.
