My laptop screen has stopped working - Only black screen

My laptop screen has stopped working - i can only see a blank screen - what can be the problem, how can i resolve the problem. If it is the ribbon how can i access the ribbon.

plz try by resiting the ram, if the problem persist then you have to take it for servicing
