Color is off on my tv im seeing colored shadows

YOU need a Mitsubishi remote to do any convergence adjustments--if convergence is skewed or bad it is most likely it will not adjust back.

WS-55809 uses two of the STK-392-570 CONVERGENCE CHIPS--95% chance both will need to be replaced and the set adjusted with the remote.

If you can do this you can save a lot of money and the set---most shops are going to get at least 300 for this kind of repair---you can buy a pair of the chips on Ebay for under 13 dollars plus shipping.

I HAVE STEP BY STEP, START TO FINISH INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOING THIS REPAIR ON THIS MODEL--IF you think you or someone you know can do it let me know and I will post the instructions here for you.

This is a common problem on ALL projection sets--the chips have a metal back and are mounted on a large metal heat sink on the middle board--a white grease--heat sink compound is applied to the back of each chip to move heat quickly to the metal and after several years from the heat it has dried out and one of the chips goes instantly.

If the set is repaired it will not have this problem for 5-8 more years----lifespan on these chips.
