Im having problem installing my router to my computer... I have a d-link model DIR-615 router and im having problem installing it on my computer. I do whats asked... i connect my internet cable from my modem to the back of it where it says internet. than from lan 1 i connect it to my computer. but its not working. i get no internet connection. like if the signal is not being transmitted thru the router.

The cable connections from your description appears correct. Check your Internet connection to see if it works correctly. Disconnect the router and connect the LAN cable from the modem to the LAN port on the computer. Click in IE browser, can you get into the Internet and open a WEB page? Please get back to me with the results of this test and I can then advise you what to do next.
