When I turn my IP 3000 on the green light only

9 flashes should only occur if you are trying to print directly from a non-compatible digital camera. Check where your USB cable is plugged into the printer. The cable coming from the computer should go into a 'square' port in the back of the printer -- not the rectangular port on the lower right side of the front of the printer.
