Question about Toshiba P25-S670 Notebook

1 Answer

Bios Problems I got P25-S670 that was passed on to me by my dad... I think it's 3-4years old now... I smoothly use it in couple of months now...but suddenly when i was just downloading my fave anime the laptop turned the monitor off but still has power...I tried waiting for aprox 10min for it but nothing happens and i decided to restart it...and after that my laptop has power but don't have display...and there's a beep( 1 long beep, and 2 short beeps)...I think my video card is the problem...but the problem is I don't know how to disassemble it and I'm not also sure if it is the real problem... Hope you guyz can help me with this...

Re: Bios Problems

Do you have an extenal monitor you can plug in to the back of your laptop and try that out. May be just the Lcd try that and let me know if it comes on and you have a screen that works, Then we can go from there, Don't be afraid to come back here and ask me. Ok hope that gets you going . And sorry about your problems, Try and have a good day...

How do i get monitor to connect to P-25 ?

I am assuming you have a user guide for this one. If not download from this site. Connecting external monitor is described on page 191. Also on page 243 it mentions how to select different display devices using the Fn key.

Hope this is what you are after.

I just replaced the motherboard on a P25-S509 laptop. When i power it on, the hard drive light flashes, the machine beeps 3 times, then nothing happens. I tried removing the memory modules, and removed the...

Without knowing whether these are long beeps, short beeps or combinations, I can still narrow down a couple of solutions for you. The beeps are a code for what kind of error the system is experiencing. The code is different for differing Bios manufacturers. It is safe to say that either the display adapter or keyboard are not properly connected.
If you replaced the mainboard on your own, I am assuming (and hoping) you have an above average layman's experience with hardware tech.
If you don't already have a SERVICE MANUAL for your model of Toshiba (NOT the USER MANUAL) get one. You can probably find one and download it for free in a PDF format from the Internet.
Try disassembling your laptop again and make sure both the keyboard cables and internal monitor cables are correctly connected.
Hope this helps FixYa! If you need more help, email me back at and give me some more information. Don't forget to supply some feedback on this solution here on the site. Thanks!

My toshiba satellite p25 s670 suddenly stops what can I do

boot it to safe mode, then run a system restore a week before the issue occured. if there is any resource in conflict with what was installed, this will be removed and problem resolved.

if that did not help, open the laptop up and remove the memory and hard drive, then re seat them properly.

My Toshiba P25-S670 Video Card

I'm not positive, but I believe your video adapter card "IS" part of the motherboard. This is not something you want to undertake unless you are familiar with the proceedure. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

You can buy any drive. go for Samsung \ LG. You can get used drives but now a days they dont cost much so its better to go for a new one. Get it from bestbuy or any local tech shop. Make sure while purchasing you mention drive for notebook.

Trying to install windows xp pro

Could be one of problems:

You need to update the BIOS

The cdrom that you're using is "picky"

The disc is dirty / damaged.

However, i've run into problems with the RAM causing this. Try taking out as much as you can (leave one stick in) and see if it installs.

Toshiba laptop

You don't have a USB thumb drive plugged in do you? Remove any discs ( CD, floppy etc ) & check the BIOS boot order to start with.
