It consistently starts to print and then stops/reads (Carriage jam). I open the door and press OK but it does it again. It does say "clear carriage jam" but I don't see anything, am I supppose to be hitting a button?
I would say just turn this printer off and unplug it for an hour or so. Then see what it does when you turn it back on. If it still says clear paper jam then maybe there is a small piece of paper that you haven't found yet that the sensors are still seeing.
Check and clear any unfinished print jobs before turning the printer back on. Control panel>>>>printers >>>>then right click on your printer(hpofficejet 6210) properties-cancel print jobs
Hope this helps!

hi, i have an hp officejet 6210 that is not staying powered on. It gets to the point where it says Selftest and a black square advances to the end of the display and then it powers off. If i push the power button again it powers on for a second and then shuts off. Then in order to get the printer to turn on again i have to unplug and plug it back in again, which results in the same behavior that I first described. I tried a #3 and #9 which didn't help. Any thoughts?

Printer tells me to check the color cartridge, that it is incorrectly installed. But this is not a new cartridge, and removing it and replacing it does not fix the problem.
