I have a Whirlpool Gold GH9185XLQ, it acts like it wants to begin heating, shuts off, trys again, and again, and again,,,,,,, It sounds like it is basically just starting and stopping through the entire time entered.

check the thermocouple/ thermal cutout on the side of the magnetron tube,its weak and shutting off before tube gets warm,then resets and does over again
