I have same problem now of keyboard skipping characters. Dell Latitude D410 was 3 years old when i bought it "off lease". Now it is 1 year later (4 yrs old). Also, approx 3-4 months ago, the cursor started moving about erratically, almost always upwards to top of screen and to the right, so it tends to "land on" the "X" of "close window". I have cleaned the Touchpad and Keyboard. I was hoping it would be one of the following because then I would have an explanation. a) a software drivers problem or b) a virus problem slowing down the processor (did a full AVG scan and MalwareByte's scan, finding nothing) c) key stroke logging program (process) running in background. I did not see any strange Processes running Any help appreciated.
