Message given that computer not communicating with printer. Cable is plugged in properly, and it works with an older laptop. Tried the USB root hub suggestion above, but none were checked.

Mine seems to regularly to this. Bit of a pain, but everytime I uninstall it, then reinstall it, it works again for a while. Don't know if it's because I don't keep the printer plugged into my laptop all the time?? Try this anyway if you haven't already. Jen
