door wont close , and keep dclosed, the catch doen1t seem to work anymore , dishwasher working fine , water leaking from below because not closing properly , have had dishwasher for 2 yrs no problems as yet .Wondered if this was a common fault thanks
Firstly, thanks Craig. Followed ur instructions. However, my solution was happily easier although I completed Craigs solution without success.
Above the catch on the main body there is a "D" ring of wire which the catch engages. It is adjustable, backwards and forwards. It is held by a screw. My screw was loose so every time you closed the door the ring moved back stopping it engaging with the catch.
I've taken the front door apart - their are about 10 screws on the inside of the dishwasher. Once these have been loosed (together with the two larger screws which hold the catch in place. You can see the catch.
The catch is spring loaded, mine was stuck in the closed door state. Therefore, when the door gets closed the spring is too far from the metal pin to hold shut.
I simply forced the spring to be open and put everything back together.
I had the same problem, so I took the door apart as explaned above, found it was gunged up with residue from the washihg cycles. Gave it a good clean, while the part was disconected of course, and hay presto! the door works like new again.

We have just aquired the machine with the house (no manual) The soap dispenser will not open when the machine is running. I'd be prepared to stop the machine and add the powder if I knew where in the cycle to do this. The other problem is that the dishes come out with fine grit dried on them. Should I just give up?!
