My amp powers on, but thereis a big spa...

if it liked having push down and continue for several seconds it is bad.

but if it goes back to normal position ,rejoice.other wise your speaker
might get burnt. or have a displaced voice coil.

better yet don't connect the speaker use multimeter instead and measure the output voltages.
If it goes beyond 0.7V it is bad, the negative probe of the meter to the
negative out of the amp, not on the vehicle chassis.


the positive should be connected first, there should be no spark when connecting it ,
assuming the unit is not touching the vehicle chassis


the negative should be next, assuming the " Remote " terminal is open ( not connected)

there will be indicator light if there is fault on the unit or when the unit is on. when "Remote" terminal is connected to a 12V supply.
