Your profile is probably corrupted. You will need to log in another account that has administrative permissions and rename the "administrator" profile to "administrator.old". After doing that, try logging in again to the administrator profile and copying all the data from the old profile to the new one that was created. If you still get the same error or if there are no other users that have administrative privileges, you will need to do a repair installation (Windows XP) to fix this. If you are using Windows Vista or higher, you will have to install over your existing installation to preserve your data, or do a clean install (format) and start new. This is actually a common problem, so don't blame yourself.
Go ahead and create a new user account, and make sure you give it a name like MAIN or ADMIN for administrative purposes.
Make the other account the administrator by going to: START, CONTROL PANEL, USER ACCOUNTS AND FAMILY SAFETY, USER ACCOUNTS. Then select to make it the administrator
Log off your user account, and go to the new administrator account, then delete the old account. After that you create another user name with the same name as the one you deleted so as to get a fresh start.
Install whatever programs were not allowed to be installed on the old administrator account because of error messages and other flaws that kept repeating themselves on the old user account. Voila! You have now bypassed the errors that keep you from having a Laptop with no errors on your software programs.

What settings do you have for your internet connection? have you selected high security settings that do not allow many downloads from the internet? check these, it may be the answer. Next check that you are actually logged on as the administrator. You may be the administrator but if you are logged in as someone else your computer will not know. Maybe check the settings that the admin has, too.
Dear Friend,
There is one default account in system by name Administrator. Log from that account. (Administrator account is having all rights to perform any process in the computer.)
Or you can do delete all your user account so only administrator account will remain. Then Log off.. and while login you will able to see that account.

Make sure you are logged in as administrator. The reason why you are getting that message is your account does not have administrator rights. You are logged in as a standard user.
Click on Start-->control panel-->User Accounts-->Create a new User Account-->choose the Account type as Administrator-->Restart the computer-->Now try installing.
I truly have no idea what is that, or how you make it work, but usually when a program needs to be run with administrator rights, I just right click and choose run as administrator.
Log in as an Administrator, and install it, if you are not an Administrator, go ask the Administrator to download it for your or, give you permission to download it.
I am logged on as administrator and still get the error message
already logged on as administrator and get the error message
