Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

Ipod nano uploading

IPod nano 4MB appears to have free memory but i am unable to upload new songs from iTunes. It seems that I can delete, then re-add existing songs but this may simply be removing and re-adding the address. I am tempted to try resetting to factory setting and starting again - but then I may end up with nothing in the memory! can you advise Thanks Fran

How Do I Download Songs Onto My iPod Nano?
IPod Nanos are portable multimedia players that allow you to playback songs and other content (e.g. video) no matter where you go. They come in a variety of memory sizes such as 4GB or 16GB (gigabytes) and work with iTunes to upload songs. ITunes is the iPod default management program which allows you to upload songs to its library, create playlists and sync music on your iPod quickly and easily. This simple process will have you jamming to your favorite songs in no time.

Downloading to an iPod Nano1Connect your iPod Nano to the computer using the USB cable. Launch iTunes if does not automatically launch. When you launch iTunes, it will display your iPod Nano on the left panel.
2Add music to your iTunes library. Click the "File" button on the top menu and click "Add to Library." Locate the song you want to upload to your player and click "Open" to load it to your program.
3Click the "+" button on the lower left panel to create a playlist. Type a name for the playlist and drag the uploaded file to it. To upload additional songs, repeat Step 2 and drag the uploaded additional songs to the created playlist.
4Drag the songs in the playlist up or down to select the order in which the songs will play.
5Sync your iPod Nano. Click the iPod icon on the left panel after importing songs and adding them to the created playlist. Click the "Music" tab and click "Sync music." Click "Select playlists, artists and genres" and select the playlist you created that contains the songs you want to upload. Click "Apply" to automatically sync and download the songs to your iPod Nano.
6Click the "Eject" button and disconnect your iPod from the computer.

I have a CD that contains a number of MP3 files I would like to upload to my iPod via iTunes. How do I do that? I previously used iTunes to upload songs from Music CDs to my iPod. All I had to do was...

If you open iTunes with the CD in the drive and click File - Add folder to library/Add file to library you should be able to find the CD containing the MP3's from there. This will then add them to your iTunes library and you can put them on your iPod by dragging them to your iPod when it is connected in iTunes.

Hw do i add musc from my window media player

Normally you need to use Itunes to upload songs into Ipod, if you want to transfer songs directly from Media player you will need to install a software like MediaMonkey
If you want to upload songs from WMP without installing additional software you can also follow instructions below:
How To Transfer Songs from Windows Media Player to iPod

Cant get music on Ipod

Apple, the maker of the Ipod, requires you to use "iTunes" software to upload, transfer, and buy songs for your iPod mini. The software installation cd should come with your iPod, if not, you can download it at then going to downloads.

Hope this helps, have a great day! ^_^

IPod - 3 years old -- will not upload current Itunes Library

maybe you can try reformatting the ipod so that all the songs will be removed... try also to click on "music" when you connect to your pc, highlight the songs you don't like anymore and right click then choose delete... it works with my ipod :)

Deleting files

HI,  Ipods don't work like normal flash drives.  They can only work by syncing them.  You cannot find or delete the songs from the ipod or from the drive that it appears in.  To remove a song from your ipod you need to go into itunes, and locate the playlist which is being synced to your ipod.  Then find the song and remove it from the playlist.  Then you need to plug in your ipod and press sync again.  Hope this helps
