I refiiled my black ink cartridge at Walgreens and

Normaly when you refill a cartridge the level is not reset & is normal.

I assume if you read your instructions you should be able to press a button on your printer for 5 seconds & it should override the software.

Also on some lexmark printers you can tell the printer software you have installed a new cartridge.

Another common problem is when a cartridge is refilled if the correct type of head seal is not used the cartridge head clogs or dries up, to rectify that get a piece of tissue paper, wet it and place the printhead on it, just dab it, after a few dabs you should see a nice block of ink the same size of the printhead, if you do replace back into printer & it will work.

if you don't get a good band after a dozen goes the printhead is either blocked or when they refilled it they did'nt do it correctly.
