LE light came on and washer stopped. Tried another load, washer filled but does not run

it has detected a problem with the fill water
as the official description of the "LE" is:

The washer has tried to fill but has not reached the proper water level.
there can be several reasons for this to occur , the only one that the operator can ck is that the water supply to machine is connected and turned on , the others are a serviceman's call

• dc--Unbalanced load preventing washer from spinning
• dL--Door is in locked when washer is running
• dS(d5)--Door is open when washer is open
• FL--Washer failed to lock the door
• Hr--Water temperature control problem(Heat control problem)
• LE--Washer tried to fill but has not reached proper water level(Slow fill)
• LO--Door will not unlock
• E3--Motor not running properly
• nd--Washer is not draining/Washer senses a brief restriction while draining
• nF--Washer tried to fill but was unsuccessful
• Sr(5r)--Problem with control
• PF--Power failure, electric service was lost while washer running
• OE--Fault detected in water level sensor
• E2--Jammed key
• bE--Motor speed sensor problem
• tE--Temperature sensor problem
• 3E--High current detected
• 2E--High/low voltage detected
• 8E--Vibration sensor problem
• 7E--Silver Care control problem
• SUdS--Too much suds detected during wash cycle, unit on hold until suds reduced

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time it is just a bad hall sensor (the motor position sensor). For your model the part number is 6501KW2002A.

If water runs in when the machine is OFF but stops when the tap is turned off it means a faulty watervalve.replace water valve. Probably a double valve. Dont mix up the hoses or the wires........Nomess

My washer stopped and displayed the LE error code. I turned off the power button and tried again, but after a few seconds it want back to LE. Finally, I unplugged the power cord, plugged it back in, and the washer ran normally.

The motor sensor has failed and needs to be replaced.  You will need to call a qualified LG technician to repair this problem.

"LE" error means the motor has overloaded. There is no way to fix this yourself. You will probably need a new motor. Call for an engineer.

LE error is a locked rotor you need to have your hall sensor on the stator or better yet just have the whole stator replaced which comes with the sensor on it (P.S. the stator is part of the motor and has a 5 year warranty)
