It seems that you have an issue with your ballast. This is the board in charge of sending energy to the lamp so it can light up. It's not a very expensive board, it's pretty cheap actually. http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=mitsubishi+ballast/?Click=48427
