Question about HP Compaq FP5315 15" LCD Monitor
He may be right especially if it an intergrated pc with everything built into the motherboard. i would check to see if you have a seperate video card , just simply swap it out with a known good one.

It may not be the monitor. it may be the video card has a burnt image in it. if you have an integrated graphics card, then there is no way to fix this that i know of. if you have a PCI-e, PCI, or AGP card, then you can simply find a new card. i'm not sure if that is the problem, but you can check.
