Loss of sound on the Denon AVR 2807 a/v surround receiver when I turn on and off lights in my house

I have Philips 9732 47'' surround ambilight lcd tv connected via HDMI with Denon AVR 2807 surround receiver. When the output volume of the TV comes out from the Denon receiver and whenever I turn on and off some of the lights of my house I experience a split of a second loss of sound (the receiver remains on but on the panel during that loss I see that the reading "DIG" and "PCM" are lost and found again.

Re: Loss of sound on the Denon AVR 2807 a/v surround...

Finally the problem was with the HDMI cable. When I pushed it in on the TV set the problem disappeared. It seems the connections must be quite firm on the HDMI cables otherwise anything may interfere to the sound.

No sound from Russound ss-4 after connecting to BACK surround speaker connections on the 2807.

Check the speaker setup configuration in the setup menu. Many times the surround back speaker terminals can be assigned to something else like zone 2. They may just be turned off.

Can't get the sound to work on my TV using the Denon AVR-2807

In the 2807 the HDMI out is a video out only. Audio is not processed through the HDMI output.
If you are using speakers it is best to adjust the playback modes to stereo if you are annoyed with surround sound modes.
Please comment if I helped.

I need to set multi coponets

Your best set up is to plug the DVD and the direct tv optical or coaxial out. The Denon has both. You will then have to choose digital input on the receiver. There is a blue indicator light that will light and a graphic that will show all speakers are working. There is also a pink noise test that will play each speaker in order. This test button is located on the remote.
