Hallo, I' ve already posted a problem about voice rec. button, that i solved myself.
I 'm here again to ask if someone could tell me about its pda battery life:
I'm sure my pda or battery is not damaged ( and it is new ) anyway, as i come from a Palm Tungsten E2 ( whose battery life is about 3d., 1,5 if I used mp3 ), I noticed that my ipaq battery lasts no longer than 1,5 d. about.
I am also having frequent sync. and listening music.
I also have read that palm os pda have a better battery life for slower processror than ppc.
Do you think battery lasts enough ?
Is it normal for this device ?
I have the same problem, after I did the hard reset and installed no programs, this power problem disappeared. But once i installed any programs, PDA battery life became no longer than 2 days, which is strange.

01) Press and hold down the "Calendar" and "iPAQ Wireless" buttons.
02) While holding down these buttons, use the stylus to lightly press the "Reset" button/hole on the back of the iPAQ until the screen goes blank.
03) Release the "Calendar" and "iPAQ Wireless" buttons.
04) Press the "Reset" button/hole again (so that it resets/powers on.)
There could be a piece of software running that is locking up the device. You might want to check for updates to your PDA and any software you have installed on it. If that doesn't work try doing a hard reset, which will erase everything, then reinstall one application per day to see if the problem pops up after one of the applications is installed. If that doesn't work, it could be hardware issue, if there is an extra storage device in it pull it out and see what it does. You will have to troubleshoot. Try different things and see what the result is, eventually you'll be able to narrow it down.
can't record on the my Olympus VN-1000
+ I press rec button and it just shows rec in display (no recording time is shown ONLY rec)
+ there is no play back or stop function
+ i can only stop rec by removing batteries (stop or play will stop rec only ONCE - but there is no useful function - such as play or stop or rec.)
+ I tried all trouble shooting tips in manual with no effect
+ i cleaned the spring contacts inside battery compartment that interface with the batteries
+ it was barely used - and has not been used for a 1 year ( no batteries were inside it )
it was inside a drawer
