Connecting my hp deskjet 5150

You can download a driver from my website then you can use the driver to set your printer up this driver will do for other Hp printers as well after you down loaded the driver just click to start the set-up all the best : Pineworks
Just click on this link and it will download for you, and make sure all your printer leads are in to you pc.

Sounds like your DeskJet 5150 needs to be restarted. Try:

1) Press <Power> button to turn the printer off, then press again to turn it back on
2) If problem persists, turn off the printer
3) Disconnect the power cord from the power source
4) Reconnect the power cord
5) Turn the printer on

Shut it down, remove power and USB cord.
Whilst in this state thoroughly check for paper debris in the paper track.
Then power up one more and do not connect USB
Try for test page[See your Manual]

Press the On () button to turn off the unit.

• Disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit.
• Connect the power cord to the back of the unit.
• Press the On () button to turn on the unit.

lost my cd for the printer, install the hp deskjet printer directly.

Go to the below web page at HP's website, and then follow the links to download the CD ("Software & Driver Downloads", then a few more clicks):

That should download the entire CD - most of the software and all. Hope that helps!
