Either the connector between the battries and the mower are bad or the starter switch is bad, you know the wires between the batterries and the connector are good because you said the batterries charged just fine, so either between the connector and the motors, or the key switch has a break in its continuity, easiest way to test is connect the batterries directly to the motor to see if it works if it does connect before the start switch then after the connector the before the connector and keep moving up the connection wires until you fine where the problem is.
