There might be a disk in it that has not come out. Look for small hole ...use a paper clip push in and it will eject the disk if there is one in it. The hole is small and under the slot or door. This works on all common DVD or CD drives. You could uninstall from computer then reinstall to make sure all cables are well seated and connected..
