Unfortunately the "F1" on most domestic ranges, including kenmore built by whirlpool, frigidaire, or ge, indicates the clock/timer (electronic relay control or erc) itself is defective.
You can unplug the range, remove the clock and visually inspect it if you'd like. You may find a burnt circuit, or it may just be a defective resistor, diode, capacitor or other components within the control that isn't so obvious.
I hate informing folk's of such info, but that is the reality. hope it helps in any event.
