How do i fix Sound has stopped working in my Toshiba Laptop

This my sound simple, but is it muted through the speaker icon (a red line through it) or by inadvertently hitting a button on he laptop itself? The wifi on many laptops can also be turned off by hitting button on the keyboard, the wifi light or led itself.

a model number can be helpful. I also have ability to remote in to fix it if I is online.

Black spots laptop screen

Pinpointed spots can be damaged pixels that no longer light up when energized. They cannot be repaired and you will have to live with them, or get a new display. Try to use the Color Adapter port to a standard LCD Screen. On the side of the computer is a small 9 pin (usually blue) port whereby you can attach a desktop monitor as an alternative to the LCD Panel on the laptop.

Hp pavilion when i start the pc monitor still always black, no acustic sound and no spie leds on. is a processor problem or motherboard problem? when i turn on the pc, on keyboard three led get...

That sounds like a Mother board problem.
Try this, when you turned the computer on, press F8 don't let until the bios shows.
If the bios did not shows up, problem would be........
  • Check the processor, replace w/ similar one.
  • Check the power supply unit, if you have a spare one, use it just to check the system.
  • Check the processor seat pins( where the processor sits ) pins might have burned.

Hope that helps you out!

Monitor not display when i turn on machine

Hello there,

Is the monitor gives you are red or green led light? Make sure the cables are connected to the computer. Try to turn on the computer with the monitor. Then get yourself a flashlight and look closely to the monitor screen and see if you can view the desktop or icons on it. If yes, then your monitor's backlight have failed and needs replacement.

Please let me know how this goes. Thank you for using FixYa

I tried to upgrade the bios of my lenevo g460 but it failed and now it does not open only led flashes and hard disk led keeps on blinking

I'm not sure is BIOS Crisis recovery will work on your laptop but you may as well give it a try.

Turn the laptop off and hold Win-B or Fn-B as you start the laptop up.

There is also Lenovo Onekey Recovery which may help, you can download it here >>>>>

Good luck and regards

The last led light blinks green and sometimes it turns solid red

red light is stands for hardware boot and the green one is stands for system boot and disc boot. when red light remains solid it means your system is in 0% cpu usage and nothing doing, stop working

HP Pavillion dv6000 (dv6190eu) boot issues

take a look at the laptop by opening the screen all the way up and holding it up to light to see if perhaps, the inverter or backlight has gone out, just guessing here. If you can barely see the display then that's the problem.

Also you should try to hookup an external monitor to the VGA output on the laptop then turn the laptop on. See if you get video on the monitor and that will tell you if it's the backlight/inverter.

Updating drivers should not have anything to do with the display going out, however.

Laptop crashes shortly after boot, power light rapidly blinks red.

Its late, so just to make sure I'm not brain-dead basically your laptop runs fine as long as its powered by the AC adaptor but dies fairly quickly while running via battery. This is very typical of a battery that will no longer hold a charge, not normally a user repairable item. It could also be that the charging electronics (in the laptop) isn't charging the battery, again not a typical user repair job. About your only option short of taking it to the repair shop is buying or borrowing a battery as a test.
