Duet whirlpool washer mysteriously floods the

I had the same problem, found it at about 2 am. No fun. Pretty easy fix. The part on the back of the washer where you screw in the water lines in needs replaced. Its been 2 years but I think it only took about 30 mins to fix once I had the part. Remove the top of the washer (couple screws in back) The part that the hoses screw into has a wire that goes to it that opens/closes the vaule when it needs water, its not closing all the way and water is continuing to fill. Good luck, think the part was about $50 or so. I would shut off the water at the wall in between washings until its fixed, and when on vacation. The hoses always have water in them if the. good luck
