We have a GE front loading washer, bought in 2006-2007, and there is a missing piece of gasket, about 3" long in the front bottom of the gasket. Some water has leaked out so it is concenring that this could get wors. From what I am reading, this is an ongoing problem. i am going to try to use some silicone calk to see if i can slow down the tear. I'll re-post.
