My dryer starts but drum doesn't spin. what is this?

Unplug it and locate the access panel or remove the top lid. Look inside and see if the drive belt is busted.
If it is get the machine details off the sticker on the back and call an appliance spares shop or go online. Any good DIY person can change it.

My dryer is making a bd squeaking noise while drying

This is an answer for only Electric dryers.....
There are several possibilities....Try running your fingers around the inside of the dryer, where the drum has a gasket, there maybe some pieces missing. If nothing, Look at the gasket along the back of the dryer drum look through the dryer door, check the same thing. If nothing, it is time to open the back (disconnect the power) detach the exhaust hose. Some dryers have a lower portion, of the back, that maybe removed allowing access to the motor and pulley. Hint: If you are new to this task use a cell phone camera to take pictures as you proceed to help you replace things correctly. While you are watching have someone at the front rotate the drum by hand see if you can produce the squeak (Don't put your hands near the motor pinch points or the pulley) If you think it is the small pulley you can use a small amount of silicone spray. If the sound is coming from around the motor, it is probably your belt.
A DIY person can change it but if you are not confident ask a friend to help or call a professional.
