We have a Whirlpool ADG 7440 that has stopped working as soon as the cycle gets to heating the water. At that point there is a fizzing and crackling sound from the bottom front right of the dishwasher. I have tried running the machine on a cold cycle but it stops at the same point each time. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the element or thermostat, as we realised we had a problem with the dishwasher when it blew the fuse of the electric ring it is on.
