Where do I find a new portafilter for this model?

You need a new brew head gasket. They are not that hard to change. Four nuts hold the chrome head on. Once the chrome head is removed the gasket is pulled off then the brew head is cleaned and then you can put the new gasket on. Check ebay.

If the portafilter is coming out when brewing your brew head gasket needs to be replaced. If you have never replaced your brew head gasket its way beyond time. They should last about 3-4 years at the most. With a good brew head gasket the portafilter should be easy to lock in, not requireing a lot of pressure to force it over. Try replaceing the gasket first before you invest in a new portafilter. If you really need one I have some and the gaskets.

It is possible that the group gasket needs to be replaced.

If your model is pod only - fixed version - then it is not possible to replace the group.
If you have a pod portafilter then it is possible.

I have a brand new Via that never worked right out of the box. Could barely get any espresso to come through the portafilter. Got a new portafilter and the espresso now flies out of the machine beautifully. Seems they are shipping units with faulty portafilter. Bad news is a new portafilter is like $65. See if you can get them to give you a new one. I had the same issue as you, very little espessso comes out.

You have a stuck check valve. Try running the pump with the steam knob open, then shutting it then, opening it 4 or 5 times and see if it will pop open. Make sure that you don't have the portafilter in at the time you are doing this.
