Question about Akai PT46DL10 46" HDTV-Ready Television
The lamp light turned on and after a few days, the color faded and finally the screen just sent blank, i still have audio, just no picture. I've ordered a lamp from deadlamp.com and can't even get a tracking number out of them a week and a half later, let alone an email back.
Is my lamp gone or is there a bigger problem?
Projection TV makers charge an arm and a leg for their replacement
lamps. They make it easy to do but as a result the custom lamp
assy is expensive. The trick is to just buy the bulb for your
model TV from any number of us aftermarket sources at a fraction of the
lamp price and install it in the old lamp yourself. really
Hope ya fix it!
