I have Windows XP and i tried to change my monitor's colors. After that the background became black and appeared a message : OUT OF SCAN RANGE RESOLUTION>XGA . And every time i open my computer it appears before the menu with the profils which doesn't appear at all. Help me please!!
Reboot the computer to the BIOS screen. Go to the last page or the "SAVE" page and there should be a "set system settings to default" somewhere around the BIOS. Once that is choosen, reboot in safe mode and go to your display settings. safe mode automatically sets the resolution at a setting that is safe to use, try bumping the settings up here to see if it holds. I would then go to your video card manufacturers support site and update the drivers for the graphics adapter.

I have a Sony DVD RW AW-G170A drive which is unable to recognize one of my game dvd. However when I tried to check it on my friend's pc and it was working fine. I searched on the internet and found that a number of people are having this problem and that one of the solutions is to update the driver directly from the manufacturer. However i am unable to find any drivers for this version of the dvd from Sony let alone the latest drivers...can someone point me out where can i find it. Also there is supposed to be some more code after this (ie g170a/ for example drc something) This code be found in the dxdiag box..where exactly can i find it? Finally, another solution is to disable DLA and Recording... ''Right-click on you DVD/CD-R drive. Then left-click Properties. Under the tab ''DLA'' uncheck the box by ''Enable DLA on your drives.'' Under the tab ''Recording'' uncheck the box by ''Enable CD recording on this drive.'' Click ''OK'' or ''Apply.'' Reboot.'' However when i right click on my dvd drive and go to properties...there is no dla or recording tab there? Can someone please help me out :(
