our mouse is jumping all over the place. Have removed the ball, cleaned, new batteries, etc. What else can we do. If there is nothing else, how can we keep our wireless keyboard connected but use a regular mouse? Have tried to unplug just mouse from our computer and plug-in a wired mouse, but it still only reads the wireless mouse.
With a ball mouse the parts to clean are the two small spindles inside the mouse (they usually have little gears on the end of them). They run at 90 degrees to each other and over time dirt and grease build up on them. It can be quite difficult to remove. Scrape it off with a cocktail stick or similar - you will need to turn the spindle as you do this to completly remove dirt on all sides of the spindle.
