- thanks but the thing is that the calculator for the exams cant do integrals and im not srue about the derivatives,it also cant do any graphing and cant be programable thats why I cant use my TI84,althought ill ask my teacher about the fx-991es i aslo look for easiness of usei have read that casios manuals arent very intuitive to read, but thanks a lot:D

- basically i have been poking around and suposedly i can use the fx991 ES,because althought it does integrals(the exams are made to be solve by hand not just putting things on teh calculator and watch as it does the woek you need to reason it,i mean no derive program)the integralare defined and not primitives so i guess it ok ill ask my teacher, anywyas thanks soo much for the adivece

Hi,
I would certainly upgrade my choice to the FX-991ES. It can do (numerical) integrals, derivatives, it has 40 physical constants (instead of 8). It can do unit conversions, and the Natural display is a real pleasure.
Don't get me wrong, I am no TI calculator basher. I have just bought the TiNspire, AND TINspire CAS. I have a TI92, a TI83, Ti BA 35Solar.
If you do become an engineer, the calculators you might want to use (not during the exams) are the TI 89 Titanium, HP49G+/HP50G, the Casio ClassPad 330. You see I recommend the TI89 Titanium because there is a wealth of Engineering programs written for it.

Hope it makes your decision easier.

- The manual for my FX-991ES is also the manual for the FX-115ES. I guess they are identical.
