can you hear the motor running when you turn it On?
try to open the back of your machine, you can see inside the motor, belt and other mechanical parts, try to turn it on while looking at the parts but DON"'T GET TO CLOSE,
If the motor is running and the belt is NOT, then UNPLUG the unit, tighten the belt just a little enough not to slip away then try it, it should be a little loose
