Try loacting one of the tracks in Win Explorer then highlighting and right clicking it and selecting Open With and selecting WinAmp. If that works OK then you will need to change the file type association for the WinAmp extension and making it delault to WinAmp instead of Nero.

Change the program that opens a type of file
If you double-click a file in Windows and it opens in the wrong software program, follow these steps to choose the program you would prefer that file use. You can change this setting for an individual file, or you can tell Windows to open all files of that same type in the software program you choose.

  1. Open the folder that contains the file you want to change.
  2. Right-click the file that you want to change, and then, depending on the type of file, either click Open With or point to Open With and then click Choose Default Program.
  3. Click the program that you want to use to open this file.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If you want all files of that type to open in the same software program, select the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.
    • If you want only that file to open in the software program this one time, clear the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.

How to do playlist on the s100

Hi, You can do play list from your PC. By connecting your MP3 player to the PC through Usb cable..

Things You'll Need:

* Computer
* Media player
* Digital music files

Creating a playlist on your computer is an easy way to organize your music. Playlists allow you to organize music by different artists or different genres. More advanced playlists can even sort your music based on when it was added or how often you play a particular song. Creating a playlist is an easy task regardless of the media player you use to play your music.

Determine what songs you would like to add to your playlist.

Create a new playlist in your media player. Depending on your media player, this step will vary. There is usually a "Create Playlist" button that you can click to create a new playlist. In iTunes, this button is on the bottom lower left corner. In Winamp, click the "View" menu and select "Playlist Editor".

Select the songs that you want in your playlist from a new Windows Explorer window. If you are using a Macintosh computer, select the songs from a new Finder window. You can hold down CTRL to select multiple tracks. Drag and drop these selected songs into the new playlist you have just created.

Save the playlist you have just created. Most media players have a "Save Playlist" button. Other media players such as iTunes will automatically save the playlist for you when you first create it. In Winamp, click the "Manage Playlist" button in the bottom right corner. In the following context menu, click "Save Playlist". Name the playlist whatever you want and then choose where you want it to be saved.

Have a nice day....

Downloading from my PC to my MP3 Player...

If you would like to download to your MP# player and then listen to MP3 files on your computer, then you need:
An Internet connection
An MP3 player, a software application you can download online such www.winamp.com.
If you find a song on the web as MP3 file, and you like to download it to your hard disk , all you have to do, double click on it.
Most songs range between 2 and 4 MB, so it will take 10 to 15 minutes unless you have a high-speed Internet connection.
Once the song has finished downloading, try to double-click on the file and see what happens.
If your computer plays it, then you are set.
If you cannot play it, then you need to download an MP3 player.
There are dozens of players available such as winamp, and most of them are free or shareware.
Here is a sample classic music saved as a mp3 file format.

Good luck!

I can use the songs that i upload from winamp on my Ipod

Best way to transfer music on the ipod is through iTunes. Apple uses its own mechanism to copy music, pictures and videos on the device and traditional methods such as copy/paste and transfer from windows media player, winamp, etc do not work.
download itunes from www.apple.com/itunes

Rearrange songs on the SanDisk

Creating Playlists on the Sansa M240

The Sansa M240 is a decent device, but if you are like many, you have not been able to create playlists. The instructions with the player and the maker’s website offer little help. Here a solution that I found on-line with some additional detail. The step by step instructions for even those with little computer savvy.

1. power up your M240 player without connecting to your computer. Scroll thru the menu to the “settings” menu. Select “USB”, deselect “auto detect” then select “MSC”. (I don’t know if this step is critical, but I picked up this suggestion from another site)

2. Power down the MP240 and using the cable supplied with your player, connect to the USB port of your computer. The display will show “MSC” when connected.

3. If you have not already done so, download the songs you want to include on your playlist from your computer to the M240. Any number of media player software packages will allow you to copy or burn your songs to a “portable media device” for this step.

4. After your songs are downloaded, on your computer, go to “My Computer” and open the "Sansa M240" icon. On the explorer task bar, select “view”> “details”. You should see several standard folders and all your songs. (Note I have used this for both .wma and .mp3 formats and have intermixed them in the playlist)

5. On your computer, open a new Notepad document and save it to your desktop.
Name it whatever you like, but it has to have “.m3u” as a file extension when you save it.
For example I named mine…. playlist1.m3u, playlist2.m3u, playlist3.m3u.

6. Next, in this newly saved notepad document, type this exactly on the very first line < #EXTM3U > without the brackets.

7. Now, find your first song in the open M240 folder, place your cursor on it, right click and select "rename". When the song title is highlighted hit control + C or "Copy" the entire title, being careful not to change anything. Now place your cursor immediately after the #EXTM3U text, hit return and paste the title of your first song directly below it with NO line space in between.

8. Repeat the steps to copy the title of your next song from the M240 folder. When copied, place your cursor immediately after the previous song title copied in the step above. Hit return Twice to create a single line space after the song title and paste in the next song title at the beginning of the line. Repeat this process til you have built your playlist.

8. After you’ve entered your last song title, it should look something like this. (Either .mp3 or .wma extensions can be used)
-----------------------------
#EXTM3U
First song.mp3

Second song.mp3

Third song.mp3

And so on.mp3
------------------------------
Now, within your notepad playlist document, click File/Save (noting where it was saved) and close the file. Now, find that same original playlist on your computer. Highlight it and copy / paste it onto your M240. I copied mine into a folder called “playlist” on the M240. Then I repeated the process for other playlists, giving each a unique name.

After allowing sufficient time for the file to copy, use the icon in the lower taskbar of your computer to “safely disconnect hardware” to unplug your player. Disconnect the USB cord, power up and your ready to enjoy your playlists.

Samsung u740 some music not loading.

It sounds like those songs are not MP3 format. In order for your phone to play the music you have to make sure they are MP3. You could be saving WMA which will not play or show on card from phone.
