Question about Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Camera

Memory card won't go in

I took the memory card out to transfer pics. When I tried to put it back it, it wouldn't go in all the way. Since my warranty has expired, I'm wondering if this is an easy fix that I could do myself.

Re: Memory card won't go in

Take a flash light and see if something got stuck up there. also be sure you are putting the memory card in the correct way (LCD facing you, the memory card's label should be facing up). If you do see something, take tweezers, or something thin that will fit up there. I don't recommend trying to bang it loose being that you may accidently break off the battery door and then have bigger problems on your hands.

Is the memory card unlocked?
The internal memory is very small and not fit to shoot your pictures.
If you did put in a new memory card, please goto the setup menu and format the card.

Does anyone know how to transfer pictures from the camera to a memory card? I thought my card was in there when I took the picture, but it wasn't.

most all cameras cannot move pics from internal memory to memory card. You first have to save them to your hard drive with a usb connection. Then you can move the pics to the memory card if you have a card reader. Or... replug the camera into usb after installing the memory card. Then you can move the pics to the memory card. Note: if trying the later you have to name the pics following the same naming convention as the pics already on your memory card. otherwise, they will not show up or will replace those that already exist on the card.

What to do, I forgot to put memory card in HP R707?

Do you want the pictures transferred to your memory card? that depends on the option available on the camera, try inserting the memory card. select a picture then check options if you can move it to a memory card. if not, download it to a computer and transfer it to the memory card folder.

Hope this help

Hi Tanya

It sounds like something was corrupted when you transferred your pictures to the computer.

If you have all the pictures safely on your computer, it will be ok to reformat the memory card and then just copy and paste the pictures back to the card.

Insert the card in your card reader, go to My Computer, you should be able to see the card as a removable drive. You can click and open it just like a folder and see what is on the card.

I would also back up the pictures to an external drive or dvd so they are extra safe!
