We were having problems with the speakers for our Pioneer SX-6000 receiver. For some reason, and i don't remember having to do this before, the left and right speakers had to be plugged into different plugs (B & C) and oth in the left of those. so one in left B the other in left C
You need to think about what happened between the time it seemed to be working and when it started to be 'different'.
Did you move it, disconnect/reconnect something? Also, please reword the problem description: "the left and right speakers had to be plugged into different plugs (B & C) and >>> oth in the left of those <<<." What's it mean?
Also, think about if the problem exists with all or just some sources. FM on the receiver is the easiest to troubleshoot with because there are no cables between it and the amps, hence very little chance for operator error.
Is there a speaker selection setting that you may have overlooked? (Second knob from the left?)

hi I have a Harman Kardon AVR525 receiver and very intermittantly I get a loud power pop and sometimes shuts the receiver off ,it is very loud and I'm concerned about the speakers and sub when it does this let alone me!. It does it with DVD or satellite TV viewing I've tried switching from Optical and Coaxial inputs but it will still do it , any suggestions to what it would be and advice if its repairable?
