My kenmore series 90 dryer won't start. when you hold the start button in it makes a ticking sound but the dryer wont turn on.

You have a bad thermal fuse . A 1 " long white piece , or a 2 " oval white piece , which stops the dryer from running . Replace this piece , and check your vent for good outlet air flow . need model number to tell you which and where part is located .
