Pinkish purple vertical stripe on Vizio plasma tv

I have a 1/2 inch pinkish purple vertical stripe on the left edge of my 50 inch pb50hdtv10a. In addition, there are three dots approx 1/4 inch in size equally spaced across the very top edge of the screen. Have turned off and back on the tv but no effect. This came on suddenly yesterday with no previous problems. Picture is fine except for these abnomalies.

Any ideas?

- I saw a post about a hard reset (unplugging tv and holding in power button for 1 minute. Tried that and it cleared up the problems. Thanks for the post.
