Everything has been working fine with my Pioneer Elite VSX-72TXV receiver for 3 years, but I recently tried hooking up my DVR audio signal to the receiver and video signal THROUGH the receiver with an HDMI connection, rather than running the HDMI directly to the TV and sound directly to the receiver with an optical cable. After a few seconds, the receiver turns off and the "phase control" light blinks. I put everything back the way it was, but now if the volume is turned up or I'm using the receiver for more than a few minutes, the power on the receiver goes out again and the "phase control" light blinks... Did I break something? I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Of course the extended warranty just ran out!
