The cyan and magenta cartidges have run out but I cannot print in black only, since a staus window appears telling me to replace cartridge the cyan and magenta and will not let me continue to print in black only
The printer is an Epson Stylus SX100.
Also where abouts do you refill the cartridge with ink, the hole where you remove the tape on a new cartridge does not appear to accept ink

You can't print in black only mode because printer need all cartridges not empty to initialized and working.Don't try to refill this cartridges, it's have a chip and you need to reset it too.Just look in your are for non OEM ink cartridges.Thea are 2-3 times cheaper.
