My son's Kyocera K404 (Verizon is my provider) mysteriously has a blank
(actually very dark) screen but, other than that, the phone seems to work
When I turn the phone on the keys light up and the screen is like looking at
a dark grey tv screen with no picture. After the phone initializes the keys
and the screen turn off.
I can dial out and can get calls in but I cannot see anything on the screen
at all (no numbers, no text, no power bars, nada).
When I interrogated my 16 year old son he stated 'oh yeah...that sometimes
happens but if I take the battery out and blow on the contacts it eventually
comes back'. Oh yeah, like I believe that!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
The screen of my phone suddenly started acting weird, and eventually the whole image disappeared and the screen turned blue/purple. I have restarted the phone, and reinserted the battery after blowing on the contacs, but nothing has changed. Thank you!

Hi, To unlock your mobile you need to get network unlock code(NUC) from current service provider via phone or go to service provider office. While you get the Network unlock code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only.If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the network unlock code. Thanx
In short I dont think so, Verizon does not use the SIM card style of phones, and Verizon does. So the phones are not compatible with the different networks. AT&T and T-Mobile use SIM cards so you may be able to use them, but I would contact your chosen provider and ask them if, "if you give them the EIN of the phone, if they can re-provision it?"
mine does that too, any suggestions? is it the battery or the actual phone because i've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, sometimes it fixes the problem for about 4 minutes and then the screens go crazy again. help!
I talked to a rep for cricket that deals with Kyocera and he says its fried, and you cant even get the software, no less want to get it to fix it. I will never get a kyocera again as my cell provider nor kyocera gave me a reply to the issue! Anyone with a cricket, get a verizon and have it flashed over, i did that and loving it, everything worked.
